Our Soils
We are all about sustainable farming, hence healthy soil is the foundation of our agriculture. We aim through sustainable farming practices to maintain and enhance soil health through measures such as crop rotation, cover cropping, reduced tillage, and organic soil amendments. By promoting soil health, we can improve the long-term productivity and resilience of agricultural systems while minimizing the environmental impact of our farming activities.
OUR SOIL COMPOSITION
We are all about sustainable farming, hence healthy soil is the foundation of our agriculture. We aim through sustainable farming practices to maintain and enhance soil health through measures such as crop rotation, cover cropping, reduced tillage, and organic soil amendments. By promoting soil health, we can improve the long-term productivity and resilience of agricultural systems while minimizing the environmental impact of our farming activities.
Our soil is Clay Loamy, which contains a balanced mixture of sand, silt, and clay particles that can hold both nutrients and water well.
This makes it an ideal soil type for growing a wide range of crops, as it can provide adequate moisture and nutrient supply to plants, while also allowing for good drainage and root penetration.
Additionally, the high nutrient-holding capacity of clay loam soils can help reduce the need for frequent fertilization, which can be beneficial for both crop yields and the environment.
